Where to start?
In your account settings you have the possibility to enable Sniffie Two Factor Authentication (“2fa”) process. If you have enabled this option, it means that you will be asked for a second passphrase after a successful login. The passphrase is sent to your email address linked to your account. The additional passphrase is 8 characters long and can be copy pasted into the 2-factor authentication field. Once you have submitted the form you will be directed to Sniffie service dashboard.
Alternatively, you can just click the direct link in the email received.
The passphrase sent to you is unique to the browser you are trying to login from. Should you use a different computer or a different browser, the passphrase will not work. Therefore, you need to login again using the new browser. A new passphrase will be sent to your email.
Sometimes Sniffie sends random checks to ensure account security
Furthermore, Sniffie may also send these two-factor authentication requests randomly after multiple consecutive logins to make sure your account is secure. If you receive these checks, it does not mean that your account has been compromised.
